Questions from the passenger seat
- What are good songs for a road trip?
- Songs with a steady, easy groove that won’t wear you out over hours: upbeat for the first stretch, mellow in the middle, and softer as it gets dark. The mixtape maker here builds exactly that arc from Purrple Cat’s lofi catalogue.

- Purrple Cat songs average 2:46, so you need about 22 songs per hour of driving: roughly 43 for a 2-hour drive, 86 for 4 hours and 173 for 8 hours. Enter your drive length and the mixtape maker counts it out for you.

- Calm, warm songs with a slow pulse. The Night Drive playlist pulls from the City Nights albums and Night Train.
